As we say goodbye to summer and welcome the start of a new season, we look back at some truly amazing events, raising much-needed funds and awareness for Maggie’s bringing us one step closer to opening the first centre supporting the South.
In June Andy Bartram, with a team, cycled 500 miles in 6 days across France and Germany starting on the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Landings and he raised over £3,200. Later on in June we were delighted to have staff from Hillier and LV= take part in our summer solstice abseil down the Leadenhall with over £3,500 raised for the Southampton centre.
In September we are delighted to be the lead charity for the Southampton Sailing Week, with over 300 people taking part this is an excellent way for us to raise awareness of Maggie’s. Thank you to Rees Leisure for your support and to all the businesses that have donated so far to the raffle. Then, just a week later we will be hosting our first ever Culture Crawl in Southampton, celebrating all that the city has to offer. And that’s before we’ve even made it to October...
If you want to get involved with the fun this autumn, why not sign up to take part in Culture Crawl (you can even register on the day) or, if you’re keen to get cosy at home instead, why not organise an autumnal-themed Kitchen Table Day event with friends and family?
