For anyone with cancer or caring for someone else with cancer. This practice combines deep breathing and relaxation with slow and gentle movements that put very little pressure on bones and joints.

There is also an opportunity to enjoy time with the other group members to chat over cooffee around the kitchen table.

Practical relaxation exercises to help manage stress and improve wellbeing.

These sessions are designed to help you find some peace and calmness. The facilitator will guide you throught the process of relaxing your muscles one by one and letting tension ebb away to a background of relaxing music.

This drop in session is for anyone who is affected by a cancer diagnosis including friends and families.

Where now? When treatment ends

Where now? When treatment ends

Support beyond treatment.

Where Now is a seven week course for anyone who has finished their cancer treatment. It offers skills and techniques to support you through this transisiton period and beyond.  

Where Now helps you manage the physical, emotonal and practical issues you may face after your treatment has finished, through a series of group sessions each lasting around three hours, including a light lunch.

Each session is lead by a Cancer Support Specialist and our Psychologist and offers the chance to explore key issues and concerns alongside other people in a similar situation.

Discussions during the course focus on the following topics: 

  • Exercise
  • Healthy eating 
  • Emotional well being 
  • Managing post treatment challenges
  • Partnering with your medical team 
  • Keeping up momentum

Some visualisation is used, which involves asking you to imagine a series of images often including colour and nature.

There is also the opportunity after the session to enjoy a coffee/tea at the kitchen table.
